    <description>Climbing guide, photographer, and amateur economist, Matthew Fienup founded Earthworks LLC following 12 years of institutional climbing experience and seven years of training in the Visual Arts. Matthew is a member of the American Mountain Guides Association, the National Press Photographers Association, and 1% for the Planet. His education includes study at the University of Michigan School of Art and Brooks Institute of Photography, where he graduated summa cum laude. Matthew spends over 200 days a year in the field shooting adventure sports and wildlife. Other specialties include California Natural History, telemark skiing, gourmet coffee, and backyard astronomy.
